1. Who can use HomeschoolTribe
HomeschoolTribe is intended for parents, guardians, and educators aged 18 or older who are involved in homeschooling, unschooling, or worldschooling. By creating an account you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that takes place under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, notify us immediately at support@homeschooltribe.com.
3. Community rules
HomeschoolTribe is a community built on respect and support. You agree not to:
- Post content that is abusive, discriminatory, or harassing.
- Share personal information about others without their consent.
- Post spam, commercial solicitations (beyond the Exchange Market), or misleading content.
- Attempt to circumvent the platform's safety or moderation features.
- Use the platform in any way that could harm children.
Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent banning.
4. User-generated content
You retain ownership of the content you post. By posting, you grant HomeschoolTribe a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your content on the platform. We do not sell your content to third parties.
You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of what you post.
5. Paid membership
Some features require a paid membership. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your Settings page. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact support within 14 days of a charge if you believe an error occurred.
6. Exchange Market
The Exchange Market allows families to list educational materials for exchange, free pickup, or wanted listings. HomeschoolTribe is not a party to any exchange or transaction between families and accepts no liability for items offered, exchanged, or received through the platform.
7. Disclaimers
HomeschoolTribe is provided "as is". We make no guarantees about uptime, accuracy of user-provided information, or the suitability of any content for your specific educational situation. Always verify legal requirements for homeschooling in your own country or region.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HomeschoolTribe is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. We will notify you of material changes by email or via an in-app notice. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Netherlands.
